Volans Tequila is born in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, at El Pandillo Distillery – NOM 1579. Our Master Distiller, Felipe Camarena is a legend in the tequila business; his family has been growing agave since the 1880’s & distilling for four generations.
El Pandillo not only makes the best tequila in the world but is one of the most sustainable distilleries. Innovations include mosto warming tanks,
eco-farming practices, rooftop rain collection, vinaza treatment, solid agave waste recycling, and not a drop of water is wasted at the distillery.
OUR TEQUILA
BLANCO
The blanco version of tequila is the product that is obtained after distillation. It contains 40% alcohol content and is unaged.
Our Blanco is a classic. It’s an easy-to-drink agave-forward spirit with light hints of vanilla and citrus. Our blanco tequila has also been oxygenated, which helps remove some unwanted chemicals and compounds, accentuating the sweetness of the natural agave. Made with rain, spring and deep well water, it has just the right balance of minerality. Plus, there’s a bit of a black pepper finish for an added kick.
REPOSADO
Made from our three tahona blend, each crafted with a different water sources: Deep Well Water, Spring Water, and Rainwater, for layered character, rested for four to six months in american oak barrels. Balanced, round and elegant.
This imparts complexity, aromas, & flavors.
AROMAS: Fruity & earthy aromas along with oak, vanilla, cinnamon, clove, & minerals.
FLAVORS: A rich and buttery mouthfeel with flavors of agave, minerals, subtle oak, caramel, and a sweet & peppered finish.
blanco still strength
Volans Still Strength Blanco is our ultimate right out the still expression. Crafted from 100% tahona-crushed agave and blended using Spring Water, fermented with agave fibers, and Deep Well Water, fermented without agave fibers.
Distilled at 53% ABV (106 Proof) botteled without dilution. This process preserves maximum agave oils, yielding an extraordinarily rich mouthfeel, intense minerality, and vibrant citrus and pepper spice. Traditionally made. High-proof. Intense Agave. Unmistakably Volans.
AÑEJO
A sophisticated, deeply nuanced expression crafted traditionally made 100% tahona. Aged for 12 months in a mix of American, French, and German oak, with first-, second-, and third-fill barrels. Blended together to build balance and complex expression.
The result is a refined, creamy and rich Añejo that honors terroir, tradition, and time.
AROMAS: Rich cooked agave, toasted oak, dark vanilla bean, caramel, butterscotch, and subtle cinnamon.
EXTRA AÑEJO
An Extra Añejo tequila is one that is aged for a minimum of three years.
This is what gives the tequila such a complex and sophisticated flavor. The agave is cooked in a steam-powered traditional stone oven, with a blend of natural spring, deep-well and rainwater.
Our Extra Añejo is aged for three and a half years in used American white oak bourbon casks, which gives it a soft and light oakiness. Made with rain, spring and deep well water, it has just the right balance of minerality.

Volans Seven Year Extra Añejo reflects our dedication to the art of traditionally made tequila and a deep respect for both the land and the agave. This limited edition was handcrafted, in select American white oak bourbon barrels filled at 48% ABV for six years, then finished for an additional year in French oak, never to be replicated.
This edition reveals layers of complexity and robust character delivering a refined tasting experience. This release is made for collectors and connoisseurs seeking a standout bottle for the back bar or a benchmark expression of Extra Añejo Tequila.
