Restaurants – Bars in Phoenix, Arizona. The cornerstone from Taco Guild’s previous existence as a Methodist church, which was built before Arizona was even a state, and another from its revival in 1955 after a few decades of inactivity following a fire in 1911, are memorialized in shadow boxes of memorabilia and picture collections. The main dining area is dominated by the stained-glass windows of the church, which fill it with light and warmth. However, the undisturbed appearance of some of the lower window panels is the consequence of meticulous and imaginative creativity in the completion of a previously unfinished piece of their wall. It’s also no accident that the bar gives off the impression of an altar.
